Material & Engineering Overview

Hydrothermal and solvothermal synthesis of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), zeolites, TiO2/ZnO nanostructures, quantum dots, MXene/oxide hybrids, and ICP acid sample digestions require leak-free autogenous pressure containment up to 3 MPa inside an acid/alkali-inert polymer chamber. Each assembly pairs a precision CNC-machined non-magnetic 304/316L stainless-steel pressure vessel (with spring-loaded or flanged axial seal and safety overpressure relief) with a thick-wall virgin PTFE or dark para-polyphenylene (PPL) inner cup and lid.

Replacement PTFE and PPL inner cups are also stocked separately so a single steel shell fleet can rotate rapidly across multiple chemistries.

Standard Shipment Documentation: Manufacturer Vessel Inspection & Material Certificate (shell SS grade, hydro/thread QC check, Virgin PTFE/PPL liner spec, operating safety sheet).

Primary Research & Industrial Applications

  • Hydrothermal & solvothermal synthesis of nanomaterials, MOFs, COFs, and zeolites
  • Single-crystal catalyst, battery cathode precursor, and perovskite growth
  • Closed-vessel trace-metal HF / HNO3 / aqua regia mineral & geological acid digestion
  • Higher-temperature solvothermal reactions (220–280 °C) using dark PPL liners

What to Specify in Your Quote Request

Specify nominal chamber capacity (mL), liner polymer (white Virgin PTFE for ≤200–220 °C vs. black/brown PPL for 220–280 °C), shell closure style (standard threaded screw-cap with torque rod vs. bolted flange with pressure gauge/rupture port), complete reactor count, and any extra spare liners.

Include target quantity, destination country/postal code for express air freight calculation, and any special cleanroom bagging or certification requests.

Technical & Procurement FAQ

When must I upgrade from a white PTFE liner to a PPL liner?
Virgin PTFE begins creeping and softening under pressure above 200–220 °C; if your synthesis protocol runs at 220–280 °C, choose a rigid cross-linked para-polyphenylene (PPL) liner, which resists creeping and retains acid/base inertness.
What fill percentage is safe inside a closed hydrothermal autoclave?
Never exceed 70%–75% fill volume for aqueous solutions (and keep low-boiling organic solvents like ethanol/DMF/methanol to ≤30%–50% fill depending on temperature) so liquid thermal expansion never creates hydraulic overpressure.
Can I order extra PTFE or PPL replacement liners without buying extra steel shells?
Yes—many laboratories order 2–3× spare PTFE/PPL liner cups per stainless shell so liners can soak in acid-cleaning baths without tying up oven capacity; note shell inner bore ID×height if matching third-party shells.
